U Visa

The U nonimmigrant status (U visa) is set aside for victims of certain crimes who have suffered mental or physical abuse and are helpful to law enforcement or government officials in the investigation or prosecution of criminal activity.  Schedule a consult if you have been a victim off crime within the USA and see if you qualify for this benefit.

Your eligibility for U Nonimmigrant status depends on whether:

  • You have been a victim of a qualifying crime in the United States;

  • Have suffered physical or mental harm;

  • You have reported the crime to police or corresponding authorities;

  • You have been helpful or collaborated in the persecution of the crime.

An Immigration Attorney can help you take the next steps to begin the process to apply for a U Visa.
