Cuban Adjustment

The Cuban Adjustment Act of 1966 (CAA) allows Cuban natives or citizens living in the United States who meet certain eligibility requirements to apply to become lawful permanent residents (get a Green Card). Call us today to help you file your application.

Your eligibility for Cuban Adjustment:

A Cuban citizen applying for permanent residence under CAA must meet the following requirements:

  • Completely fill out Form I-485 , Application to Register Permanent Residence or Adjust Status;

  • Be a citizen of Cuba;

  • Have been Admitted or Paroled to the U.S.;

  • Have lived in the United States for at least one year at the time of filing for Adjustment;

  • You are physically present in the US during the filing; and

  • Be admissible to the US for Lawful Permanent Resident status. Or, be eligible to obtain a waiver of inadmissibility or any other waiver of inadmissibility or relief.
